I've been working on some new scenes for use in my mental ray training classes. Thought I'd give a sneak peak at one of these scenes in it's current WIP state:
Download Animation

Naturally this particular scene isn't finished yet. I have to add other details like wall outlets, HVAC supply/return vents, light switches, and various other decor items. I'll also use this scene to discuss various light configurations including daylight. This is obviously the night version, for a peek at an earlier daylight version, see my WIP thread here:

I should have some exciting news to announce in the not too distant future, so stay tuned.

(PS...If you're reading this on the mrmaterials.com site, then you probably have an idea of what the exciting news is )

Blog entries may be discussed in the 3DA forums HERE

Title: Amazing stuff
Wow! Simply amazing stuff Jeff! I'm salivating to see this baby textured and animated! How long it took to render? In one PC or several?

Cheers!!

Thanks for the comments. I'm considering using this scene in some upcoming training videos.

As far as render time of this animation I don't remember at this point. However I'm sure it had to be less than 10 minutes per frame because I generally don't render animations here that take longer than that as it ties up my resources for too long.
