Training events & User Group meetings

There are a few events coming up that I wanted to mention because there's some great mental ray training to be had at both events.  One event is EUE (End User Event) in Utrecht, The Netherlands and the other event is a Northern Illinois AAUGA event.

If you're a 3ds Max and/or mental ray user living near the Chicago area, then you'll really benefit from this blog post.  There's been a lot of training activity in this area of the US thanks to the diligent efforts put forth by a good friend of mine, Jennifer O'Conner.

I was speaking with Jennifer the other day and she mentioned that she was in the planning stages of another user group meeting to be held at Flashpoint.

From what I've been told, it's an all day event that works like this:

8:00 am: Breakfast & Networking session

9:00 am - 12:00 pm: Training sessions.

12:00 pm - 1:30 pm: Lunch

1:30 pm - 4:30 pm: Training sessions

Best of all thanks to the sponsors the event is free and there will also be free food (RSVP required though). If you'd like more information you can sign up for the newsletter at the Northern Illinois Autodesk Animation User's Group site or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with questions or to RSVP.  PS...Jennifer also has some very helpful mental ray information HERE

So, if you're in the Chicago area, be sure to check it out!  And of course kudo's to Jennifer for putting all this together for the Autodesk community.

EUE 2009

EUE 2009 will be held on May 28th & 29th at Florin.  There will be many amazing speakers at this event like: Zap Andersson, Neil Blevins, Ted Boardman, and Allan McKay to name just a few.  Go here for a full list of the expert speakers at this wonderful event.  And of course HERE is a link to the site where you can find more info and register.

Kudo's to my good friend Joep van der Steen for being the man behind this great event.
