Description: Here is an early test version of a Darktree-enabled shader for Maya 2008 64-bit Windows. It comes with DLL, .mi file, and three scripts. A large library of procedural darktree shaders are readily available on the web from www.darksim.com and are very useful and interesting. Two of my scripts leverage pre-existing scripts written by ctrl studio. I am not affiliated with them or DarkSim in any way. I rewrote my darktree shader based on theirs to create a 64-bit version that also exposes more flexibility. I also provide a script to automatically assign and configure an architectural material with many parameters driven by the Darktree. It's very easy to use. Just select an object, and run the SGAAssignSimbiont.mel script in Maya. Then render and tweak as desired. By default, elevation is hooked up to a bump map, but I also hang a displacement shader off of the main Maya shading engine for ready assignment of Darktrees as displacements.
